Can I let you in on a little secret?
Link in bios steal your traffic.😨😨 You miss out on website traffic if the link in your Instagram bio isn’t built in your website.
Think about this. If you’re using a third-party link in bio app, like milkshake, linkinbio or linktr.ee, you are directing people to their website first. Visitors are sent to your website by the links you add to their website.
And sure, that might not seem like a huge deal, but it actually is.
The third-party app gets all this traffic and increases its SEO—with external links.
Cut out the middle-man. That’s why you need a links page in your website! Create a unique and branded link in bio page directly on our website so you get all the traffic!
And plus, you get to see where all the clicks are going to in your website analytics and not some third-party app—which you likely have to pay for.
Side note: I recommend Google Analytics for your website. It’s free and you can track visitors on your site plus see your most frequented pages. (more on that down below).
You’re also paying for a web host subscription. So why not also remove one extra expense and make it SUPER customizable too?!
Take for example my website. I created a hidden page from my main website that contains links to important pages on my website. And I put that in my IG bio.
So when someone clicks on my link in bio, they’re redirected DIRECTLY to my website, not a third party.
Now I’m getting all the traffic to my site and I can see what other pages they explore since they landed on my website (thank you Google Analytics). I can also add more links and swap things out easily when I make regular updates to my website since this page is also a website page—I don’t have to go open a new platform and make edits.
Creating a custom link in bio page gives you another opportunity to share your personality, branding, and creativity. A free third-party app doesn’t let you do that. And a page on your website means no extra cost!!
This simple step is a game-changer. You can get analytics for who is clicking on your link in bio through your website analytics + Google Analytics!
Did you know about this? Are you going to implement it?👇🏻👇🏻
P.S. All my website clients get a custom IG link in bio page when they purchase a Website package. If you want to chat about a custom website fill out my contact form and let’s get designing!
