There’s nothing more exciting than combining creativity with a special occasion, especially when it’s for your best friend! Recently, I had the absolute joy to design graphics and signage for a bachelorette weekend in the breathtaking Rockies of Alberta. The ladies booked a stunning place in Nordegg, AB. And I SO wished I could join them there.

The theme? Camp! Inspired by the bride’s love for her camp counselor days. This project was a labour of love and a fun showcase of my fully-customized design services.

A Personalized Design Touch from Start to Finish

The proposal happened in Banff. So I chose the stunning landscape of Lake Louise as the inspiration for the weekend’s visuals. I hand-drew the mountain landscape to capture the magical beauty and personal significance of the location.

I carefully chose every detail—from the fonts to the colours—to reflect our ‘fancy camp’ theme. Imagine elegant camp vibes mixed with a bit of rustic charm—it was perfection!

The Design Elements

To make sure everything was just right, I put together a mood board with fonts, colour palettes, and graphics, all tailored to our camp theme. Here are some of the key elements I designed:

• Poster: A poster that was set as the backdrop for photos, and welcomed guests as they arrived, featuring the hand-drawn Lake Louise landscape and camp-themed typography.
• Camp Rules: Fun and whimsical camp rules the bridesmaids and I made. These added a playful touch to the decor and had everyone smiling.
• Schedules: Cute and practical schedules to keep everyone on track with the weekend’s activities, blending usefulness with cuteness.
• Name Tags for Goodie Bags: Adorable name tags that made each guest feel special and part of our camp squad.
• T-Shirts and Mugs: Custom t-shirts and mugs that served as perfect keepsakes, so everyone could remember the fabulous time we had.

Bringing the Design Vision to Life

I brought all these designs to life in Adobe Illustrator, allowing for maximum creativity and detail. I treated this project like any other client work, ensuring every little detail was spot on.

The result was a fully customized suite of graphics that perfectly captured the spirit of the bride and our camp theme. From sketches to final prints, everything was on point and brought our vision to life beautifully.
